Blackpool's stored history begins with their founding in 1887; the club are based in Blackpool. A Second Division championship came before their FA Cup win, the earlier title dating from 1929/30. The cup was won in 1952/53. Detailed Premier League results in this archive begin in 1992/93, although Blackpool joined that record later.
The stored honours include the Football League Trophy in 2001/02 and again in 2003/04. A later play-off victory brought the club into its Premier League season, with the play-offs recorded in 2010. Bloomfield Road was their home during the campaign held here.
The honours record therefore places the play-off success after the Trophy wins, with the Premier League appearance later in the same year. The league campaign that followed was a single, uninterrupted season at this level, rather than a return separated by a gap in the published results.
The top-flight results include a 4–0 away win at Wigan Athletic, Blackpool's widest league victory among all the published results in the archive. The same season also contains their heaviest defeat, a 0–6 loss away to Arsenal. Those contrasting results came within their only Premier League campaign in this coverage.
From November into late December, an unbeaten sequence covered 5 league matches. It included their longest winning run, which began in December and continued to the end of that sequence.
A later winless run stretched from February into May, lasting 9 matches. Across the campaign, Blackpool won as often away as at Bloomfield Road, although the two records differed in draws and defeats. Their away win total was 5, matching the home return.
The full season brought 39 points, but the final table still placed the club in the relegation positions. No further Premier League season follows it in this archive. Their latest covered campaign remains 2010/11, ending in 19th place.
Coverage Premier League matches only, in the seasons the archive publishes; cups and European matches are not included. Team sheets (line-ups, minutes, cards) are held for 2025/26 only. History and all-time records refer to this archive's coverage, not the club's entire existence. Manager and ground histories may have gaps; no missing spells are inferred.
