Cardiff City are based in Cardiff and were founded in 1899. The club won the FA Cup in 1926/27, alongside a stored Welsh Cup record. The latter contains 12 wins before the Premier League era. Detailed results here begin in 1992/93, before Cardiff's later top-flight appearances.
The Third Division championship of 1992/93 is among the club's stored league honours. Ninian Park remained home through the years that followed, with the ground history ending there in 2008/09. The move to Cardiff City Stadium came the next season.
A Championship title later preceded their first Premier League campaign. The stored honours date that title to 2012/13, putting the top-flight return immediately after a league championship.
An early unbeaten run lasted 3 matches, stretching from August into September. The same campaign included a 3–1 victory against Fulham in Cardiff, their widest Premier League win among these results.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær's recorded appointment came in January 2014. By the end of the season, Cardiff were bottom of the league, with a more negative goal difference than in their later Premier League appearance. The points return was 30, and relegation ended the spell after that campaign.
Neil Warnock was appointed before the next promotion, with his stored tenure beginning in October 2016. The return season opened with a winless sequence that extended into October and covered 8 league matches. A later winning run came in February, when successive victories interrupted that campaign's lower-table results.
Across the Premier League appearances, Cardiff collected more home victories than away wins. Their results at Cardiff City Stadium also included more draws than on their travels, although defeats were the most frequent outcome in both settings.
The final points total was higher than in the first Premier League season, and the goal difference was less negative. It still ended in relegation. Cardiff's latest completed campaign here, 2018/19, finished in 18th place.
