Derby County are a Derby club founded in 1884. The pre-Premier League honours record lists 2 First Division championships and the FA Cup. The league titles came in 1971/72 and 1974/75. Second Division championships also appear in the earlier stored record. The archive's detailed league results begin in 1992/93, before Derby's first Premier League season.
Derby placed 12th in their first Premier League campaign. The Baseball Ground remained home that season, before Pride Park Stadium entered the stored ground history the following year.
The first season at the new ground brought a higher finish and a positive goal difference. Derby ended in 9th place with their highest season points total in the archive. Their widest recorded league victory also belongs to that campaign, a 4–0 defeat of Southampton at home. The next season improved the league placing again, even as the points total fell and the goal difference turned negative.
That upper-half sequence ended in the following campaign. Derby finished 16th, then slipped closer to the relegation places the next year. The points return rose in the latter season, although the goal difference became more negative.
Relegation came in the next campaign, ending the club's first Premier League spell. A final placing of 19th accompanied a lower points total than in any of the preceding seasons held here.
The relegation campaign returned 30 points, below the total from the preceding season. Its goal difference was also more negative, and neither of the earlier top-half league placings was repeated before the club left the division.
The stored honours include the play-off victory preceding Derby's later return. That campaign contained a winless sequence spanning 32 league matches, from September to the final month of the season. Their goal difference ended at minus 69. Derby's latest covered campaign was 2007/08, when they finished bottom.
Coverage Premier League matches only, in the seasons the archive publishes; cups and European matches are not included. Team sheets (line-ups, minutes, cards) are held for 2025/26 only.
