Goodison's cup win and uneven league years

Goodison Park was Everton's home at the beginning of the record. Their opening Premier League campaign ended in 13th place, followed by a lower placing the next season. The FA Cup win of 1994/95 accompanied another lower-half league campaign.

The next season brought a move into the top half, but that placing was not repeated in the following campaign. A 7–1 win against Southampton at Goodison belongs to the latter season and remains their widest league victory here. Later campaigns again placed Everton near the bottom before the subsequent return to higher finishes.

Fourth place and the highest points return

The club reached 4th place in 2004/05, their best league finish in the archive. Later upper-half campaigns included consecutive 5th places before further finishes outside the top four.

Before their highest points season, Everton had finished in the upper half in each of the preceding league campaigns. The points total had increased over those later seasons even though the club remained outside the top four, with the following campaign extending that rise.

Their highest points return came in 2013/14, when they finished 5th. That season's 72 points exceeded the total from the earlier top-four campaign. The following seasons ended lower before another upper-half return.

Lower-table campaigns and a new stadium

Carlo Ancelotti's stored tenure covered the league campaign that ended in 10th place. Later seasons moved closer to the bottom, with Frank Lampard followed by Sean Dyche during that period. David Moyes returned in January 2025, before the final Goodison campaign ended in 13th. Hill Dickinson Stadium became home the following season. Everton again finished 13th in 2025/26, their latest completed campaign.
