Huddersfield Town were founded in 1908 and are based in Huddersfield. The FA Cup was won in 1921/22, before consecutive First Division championships. The first of those league titles came in 1923/24. Those successive championships continued through 1925/26. This archive's detailed league record begins in 1992/93, long before the club's Premier League entry.
Leeds Road was still Huddersfield's recorded home when the archive's coverage begins. The ground history changes after 1993/94, with the club moving to the stadium now recorded as Accu Stadium. That ground remained home during their later Premier League seasons.
David Wagner's stored managerial tenure began in November 2015, before the first of those top-flight campaigns. His spell would extend into the later relegation season, covering the opening campaign in full.
The Premier League return contained successive wins in August, the club's longest winning sequence in these results. Their widest league victory was also away from home, a 3–0 result at Crystal Palace.
A later unbeaten run stretched across December, lasting 4 league matches. Huddersfield ended the season outside the relegation positions, with a points total of 37. Huddersfield finished 16th, despite a negative goal difference.
A run without a league victory began near the end of the survival campaign and continued into the next autumn. It covered 14 matches before ending in October.
Across the whole Premier League spell, home victories outnumbered away wins, although defeats outnumbered wins in each setting. Draws were slightly more frequent on the road, a different split from the club's wins.
Wagner left in January 2019, and Jan Siewert's recorded appointment followed later that month. By the end of the league season, the final points total was lower than in the opening season, while the goal difference became more negative. Relegation closed the Premier League spell in 2018/19, their latest covered campaign, with Huddersfield bottom.
Coverage Premier League matches only, in the seasons the archive publishes; cups and European matches are not included. Team sheets (line-ups, minutes, cards) are held for 2025/26 only. History and all-time records refer to this archive's coverage, not the club's entire existence. Manager and ground histories may have gaps; no missing spells are inferred.
