Hull City were founded in 1904, with Kingston upon Hull recorded as their home. Their earlier league honours include the Third Division championship of 1965/66. Detailed results in this archive begin with 1992/93; Hull's Premier League appearances came after that starting point.
Boothferry Park remained home until December 2002, when the stored ground record changes to MKM Stadium. A later play-off victory preceded the club's first Premier League season.
The opening campaign included an autumn unbeaten sequence covering 6 league matches. Within that stretch, Hull put together their longest winning run in these results. The season ended with the club in 17th place, outside the relegation positions.
A winless sequence began later in that campaign and continued into the following season. The subsequent final table placed Hull lower, with fewer points and a more negative goal difference than at the end of the opening campaign. Relegation ended the first spell.
Steve Bruce's stored appointment came before the next top-flight return. That campaign ended in 16th place and included Hull's biggest league victory here, a 6–0 home result against Fulham. The points return was their highest in a completed Premier League season held by the archive.
The following campaign ended in relegation, with the team finishing 18th. A further play-off win later preceded another single-season Premier League spell. That return again ended in 18th, with a substantially more negative goal difference than in the earlier relegation campaign.
The relegation campaign also contained the club's heaviest defeat in these league results, a 1–7 home loss against Tottenham Hotspur. That result belongs to the final completed Premier League season before the later absence and return.
The stored honours then record a League One title in 2020/21. Sergej Jakirović's managerial spell began later, in June 2025. The latest Premier League season listed for Hull is their return in 2026/27; it is not a completed final placing in this history.
Coverage Premier League matches only, in the seasons the archive publishes; cups and European matches are not included. Team sheets (line-ups, minutes, cards) are held for 2025/26 only. Aggregate match totals include the in-progress season to the latest published result; finishes and titles count completed seasons only. History and all-time records refer to this archive's coverage, not the club's entire existence. Manager and ground histories may have gaps; no missing spells are inferred.
