Luton Town were founded in 1885, with Luton their home town. The club won the League Cup of 1987/88, alongside divisional championships. The Second Division title was won in 1981/82, following the earlier Fourth Division championship. Detailed league coverage in this archive begins in 1992/93, well before Luton's Premier League entry.
Kenilworth Road is the stored home ground throughout the season held here. Rob Edwards' recorded appointment came in November 2022, before the club's top-flight return. His tenure covered the full Premier League campaign, continuing beyond its final results.
The results in this part of the archive cover a single league season rather than several separated visits to the division. Luton collected more victories at Kenilworth Road than away, while the number of draws was the same in both settings. The home win total was 4, while the away return was lower. Drawn matches accounted for more of the away results than victories, a different balance from the home fixtures where those outcomes were equal. Home defeats nonetheless outnumbered home wins across the completed campaign.
The club's longest winning run came in December, with successive victories either side of Christmas. An unbeaten stretch followed in the new year, beginning in January and extending into early February. It lasted 3 league matches.
Luton's widest league victory in the archive also belongs to this campaign, a 4–0 result against Brighton & Hove Albion at Kenilworth Road. The later winless sequence reached 10 matches, stretching from February into April. Their heaviest recorded defeat was away to Manchester City, where the score finished 1–5.
The full season returned 26 points, with the goal difference still negative. Their home and away results did not produce a finish outside the bottom three, and relegation ended the top-flight spell. Luton finished 18th in 2023/24, their latest covered season.
Coverage Premier League matches only, in the seasons the archive publishes; cups and European matches are not included. Team sheets (line-ups, minutes, cards) are held for 2025/26 only. History and all-time records refer to this archive's coverage, not the club's entire existence. Manager and ground histories may have gaps; no missing spells are inferred.
