Swansea City are based in Swansea and were founded in 1912. Their earlier honours include Welsh Cup wins, with the stored pre-Premier League record containing 4 victories. The latest of those earlier cup wins came in 1965/66. Detailed league coverage here starts with 1992/93, before Swansea's Premier League entry.
A Football League Trophy win is recorded in 1993/94, during the years when Vetch Field remained home. The ground history later changes to Swansea.com Stadium from 2005/06. That period also contains another Trophy win, followed later by the League One championship.
A play-off victory preceded Swansea's opening Premier League campaign. The league season ended with the club in 11th place, outside both the top half and the relegation positions.
Michael Laudrup was appointed before the next campaign. That season brought a League Cup win alongside a rise into the top half of the league. Swansea finished 9th, although the points total was slightly below the opening season's return.
The same campaign contained a 5–0 win away to Queens Park Rangers, the club's largest league winning margin here. An unbeaten winter sequence extended from December into January, reaching 7 league matches. Laudrup's tenure ended during the following season, which finished lower despite an even goal difference.
The next campaign produced Swansea's highest league placing and points return in the archive. They finished 8th, before the following season ended outside the top half.
Swansea went without a league win from August until November in the later campaign, followed by the end of Bob Bradley's short recorded tenure. Paul Clement arrived in January, during the season ending in 15th place. His departure came before the following season was complete. Swansea's points total then fell again, and relegation closed the spell. Swansea ended their latest covered campaign in 18th place; the season was 2017/18, closing that uninterrupted Premier League spell.
