The fastest scorer in the league

Among the 239 players with 900 or more league minutes and a goal in 2025/26, nobody needed fewer minutes per goal than Erling Haaland, at 110. Take his penalties away and he still leads: his 24 non-penalty goals were the most of any player. In all he scored 27 for Manchester City, 35.1 per cent of City's 77 in the league.

What the goals were worth

His goals decided 11 matches. City finished 2nd, and 18 of their 78 points came from those goals. Against the season's top six he scored 9 times in 9 appearances, and City won 5, drew 2 and lost 2 of those games.

An even spread

The goals were spread evenly across venues and halves: 15 at home and 12 away, 13 before half time and 14 after it. He started 34 of his 35 appearances and ranked 2nd at the club for minutes. He came to City in 2022 from Borussia Dortmund, where he had scored 62 goals in 67 matches in all competitions.
