Brentford were founded in 1889 and are based in London. Their earlier honours include the Second Division title in 1934/35 alongside a Fourth Division title from 1962/63. This archive's detailed league record begins in 1992/93; Brentford's Premier League seasons start later.
Brentford won the Third Division in 1991/92. The later honours record includes another divisional title in 1998/99, in the Third Division. The next divisional championship was in League Two in 2008/09.
Thomas Frank's recorded appointment dates from October 2018, while Griffin Park remained the club's home through 2019/20. The stored history then places Brentford at Gtech Community Stadium from 2020/21. Their Premier League entry came the following season.
Brentford's first Premier League campaign ended in 13th place. After that opening return of 46 points, they moved into the top half the following season. The resulting 9th-place finish came with 59 points, still their highest total in the archive. Their goal difference was plus 12 at the end of the campaign. A 12-match unbeaten run stretched from the autumn into the following spring.
The next season was lower, with Brentford finishing 16th. Between February and April 2024, they went 9 league matches without a win. The season ended with 39 points. They returned to 10th place in 2024/25. Brentford took 56 points in Frank’s last full league campaign. During that campaign, a 5–0 away win at Southampton became their biggest Premier League victory in the recorded results.
Frank left in June 2025 after a recorded Premier League spell of 152 matches. The league matches held during his tenure returned 1.32 points per game. Keith Andrews' recorded spell began later that month.
The club used 26 players in the next league campaign. The campaign ended in 9th place. Igor Thiago led their league scoring with 22 goals as the club matched its earlier best placing. The latest completed campaign, 2025/26, returned 53 points, below the earlier points record despite that matching position.
